2. WRCRWA Wastewater Treatment Plant

Description: Hosted by the Western Riverside County Regional Wastewater Authority, this tour explains how wastewater from your home is transformed into high-quality recycled water. You’ll walk through the tertiary treatment process and see the state-of-the-art technology used to minimize odors and protect the Santa Ana River ecosystem.

3. Henry J. Mills Water Treatment Plant

Description: Located just east of Mission Grove, this Metropolitan Water District facility is where much of our local drinking water is purified. 4. Regional Metro Water Recycling Facility (Pure Water Demo)

The tour often concludes with an optional "taste test" of the purified water.
