New Report on Riverside Public Safety
On April 8, 2026, the City Manager presented a vital update on Riverside’s growth, budget, and public safety. While our city is expanding economically, a new memorandum from the MGNA Public Affairs Committee highlights a growing gap in our emergency services. Most notably, the report finds that Fire Department response times now average more than 7 minutes, well beyond the 6-minute "life-safety" goal, due to a 35% increase in calls without a corresponding increase in staffing or equipment.
